Ashbourne solves all these issues and more with Epos+. Epos+ gives you a highly affordable EPOS or till system – the software is free and you can purchase additional integrated hardware: receipt printer, cash drawer and large or small touch screen. The till enables you to take payment by cash, cheque or debit/credit card, give refunds, perform stock control, monitor sales per team member, record sales on a day-by-day basis in both paper and digital form, and much more.
Epos+ allows you to see who is spending money on which products or services… Their swipecard becomes a powerful ‘loyalty card’, monitoring, just like the supermarkets do with their loyalty cards, the spend patterns of each member. As each purchase is linked to their membership card, you can then use this data to encourage them to buy MORE supplements or book other classes, as you know they are already interested. You can send them targeted emails or texts (all via the Ashbourne system, see our Connect+ service) or add offers to the smartphone app.
Epos+ also allows payment to be taken by direct debit for any purchases in your club, ie drinks, supplements or class fees. You can therefore offer a convenient, cashless service to your members, who will welcome not having to carry cash around while using your facilities.
How does it work? It’s easy to set up – your members opt to have money taken by Direct Debit, separate to the Direct Debit used to collect their membership fees. This money is then used as credit for your products or services. A member simply swipes their membership card and the till then automatically deducts the correct amount from their credit balance. When this balance reaches a lower limit it triggers a DD to top up the credit, so your members never have to stop spending.
Epos+ incorporates a number of security features. You can set up individual staff logins + log any actions performed on the system such as changing members’ expiry dates. It allows a tight control on stock levels and stock movements, allowing you to offer a better service while keeping stock to a minimum.
